Responsibilities
● Develop deep understanding of autonomous solution software (planning , perception, positioning , fleet management , calibration, simulation, analytics, machine learning and artificial intelligence) to support SafeAI autonomous solutions at site.
● Trouble shoot, diagnose, and train site personnel to maximize end to end system performance
● Document detailed customer application requirements as applicable to various stacks of autonomy software and communicate with central design and development team for continuous improvement
● Manage and implement process for software updates on machines in field with deep collaboration with our team, customers, and partners
● Develop and execute site specific software training to customers and personnel at site
● Train SafeAI and customer personnel at site on software features, benefits, and updates
● Implement SafeAI autonomous solution at site and maximize performance in given application
● Document detailed site-specific software performance for load-haul-dump cycle aligned with customers and provide input design teams
● Monitor and track performance of our AGVs in close collaboration with customer and our site operations team
● Collaborate closely with customer site production and operation personnel to developed aligned product application plan for deployment of Our autonomous solutions
● Collaborate with site operations team to develop and align customers on application specific KPIs (production, cycle time, haulage path, obstacles)
● Document Our autonomous solutions software competitive advantage in specific applications
● Develop and document best practices for Our autonomous system software deployment in specific application in close collaboration with customers, partners, site operations team, and Our engineering and Technical Documentation team
Qualifications
● Engineering degree in software, robotics, or related field
● 2-3 years’ work experience in developing and supporting software for autonomous machines
● Basic understanding of autonomous mobile robots, sensors, software stacks and core element of autonomy
● Deep expertise in C++ and Python programming language
● Linux operating system experience
● Excellent inter-personal skills
● Strong communication skills to work with customers in multiple countries
● Project management skills
● Time management skills
● Deep knowledge of mining machines (dump trucks) and mine application a plus
● Ability to travel to remote mine sites globally for extended period. Overall travel requirement more than 50%.
● Ability to work both day and night shift roster at sites
