02 What the Site is — and is not

The Site describes our security testing, audit and advisory services and carries general information about security standards, frameworks and regulations. That information is provided for general understanding only. It is not legal, regulatory, audit or professional advice, and it is not a substitute for the primary legal and framework texts, which change over time. Verify anything you intend to rely on against the primary source or take professional advice on your specific situation. Browsing the Site, or sending us an inquiry, does not create a client, advisory or professional relationship between you and Intect.

03 Services and engagements

Every service we provide — penetration testing, red teaming, audits, compliance readiness, advisory — is delivered under a separate written engagement agreement that defines its scope, confidentiality, fees, liability and terms. Nothing on the Site is an offer capable of acceptance, a quotation, or a commitment to deliver services. If these terms and a signed engagement agreement conflict, the engagement agreement governs the engagement.

One honest note that mirrors what our service pages already say: we do not guarantee outcomes that are not ours to grant. Certification decisions belong to accredited certification bodies; audit and regulatory outcomes belong to auditors and regulators. What we commit to is the quality of the work — in writing, per engagement.

04 Acceptable use

Using the Site, you agree not to:

• use it in violation of applicable law;
• attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Site, its hosting environment or the contact-form mailer, or to disrupt or degrade them;
• submit malicious content, spam or automated bulk requests through the contact form; or
• scrape, harvest or republish the Site's content at scale, or misrepresent your affiliation with Intect.

We are a security firm, so we will say this plainly: unsolicited “testing” of this Site is not authorized. If you believe you have found a genuine security issue, we would welcome a responsible report to info@theintect.com — we extend the same courtesy to others that we ask for our clients.

05 Intellectual property

The Site and its content — text, page designs, figures, diagrams and the Intect name and wordmark — are the property of Hion Security Pvt Ltd and are protected by applicable intellectual-property law. You may view the Site, print or save pages for your own internal, non-commercial reference, and share links to it. You may not otherwise reproduce, modify or commercially exploit its content without our written permission.

Third-party names on the Site — CERT-In, ISO, SOC 2/AICPA, PCI DSS, SWIFT, OWASP, MITRE, RBI, SEBI, IRDAI, UIDAI and others — are the marks of their respective owners. They are used to describe the standards and regulators our work relates to; no affiliation or endorsement is implied beyond what a page explicitly states (for example, Intect's CERT-In empanelment).

06 Third-party links

The Site links to external primary sources — standards bodies, regulators, publications. Those sites are not ours: we do not control them, and linking to them is not an endorsement. Your use of them is governed by their own terms.

07 Disclaimers

The Site is provided “as is” and “as available.” We work to keep its content accurate as of publication and the Site available and secure, but we do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free or free of harmful components, or that its content is complete, current or fit for your particular purpose. Standards versions, regulatory clocks and legal requirements described on the Site change; the primary texts prevail over our descriptions of them.

08 Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Hion Security Pvt Ltd, its directors and employees shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages — including lost profits, lost business or lost data — arising out of or in connection with your use of, or inability to use, the Site or its content, under any theory of liability. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law. Liability arising under a services engagement is addressed in that engagement's agreement, not here.

09 Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Hion Security Pvt Ltd from claims, losses and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your breach of these terms or your unlawful use of the Site.

10 Privacy

How we handle personal data — including contact-form submissions — is described in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.

11 Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms, and any dispute arising out of or in connection with the Site, are governed by the laws of India. The courts at New Delhi, India shall have exclusive jurisdiction, and you consent to that venue.

12 Changes to these terms

We may revise these terms from time to time. The current version, with its “last updated” date, is always at this address; continued use of the Site after a revision takes effect constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

13 General

If any provision of these terms is held invalid or unenforceable, the remainder continues in effect. A failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it. You may not assign your rights under these terms; we may assign ours to a successor of the business. These terms are the entire agreement between you and us regarding use of the Site itself — and, per section 03, engagement agreements govern engagements.
